Sell software with licence keys

Turn on licence keys for a digital product in Store → your product → Licence keys. Choose how keys are made:

• Weesify makes a key: each buyer gets a new key like APP-7K2QD-M9XA4-P0R3T-WV8HE as soon as they pay.
• Keys you upload: paste your own keys, one per line. Each buyer gets the next one. If you run out, buyers wait, and get their key by email the moment you add more.

Buyers see their key on their order page and in their receipt. A refund switches the key off.

Check keys from your app

Send a POST with JSON or form data to these addresses on weesify.com. Every call needs product (the product's id, shown in your product's address in the dashboard) and key.

• /_/licence/validate tells you if the key is active.
• /_/licence/activate holds the key to one device. Send instance: a random id your app keeps for this install.
• /_/licence/deactivate lets a device go, with the same instance.

Answers are JSON: valid, status (active, revoked or not_found), and activations (used and limit). Activation answers 409 with activation_limit when the key is on as many devices as you allow.

Devices and keys

Set Devices per key to limit how many installs one key can activate. Buyers can free up a device themselves from their order page. In Store → Licences you can see every key and device, free all devices on a key, or revoke a key.
