This guide is for people who manage a Weesify installation in the Console. The Weesify engine runs open AI models on your own server. Drafts, Repurpose, Studio AI, Assist and transcription work without sending anything to an outside AI company. Credits and plan limits still apply, and it costs nothing extra per use.

Steps

  1. Open Console › Content OS › AI engine. Only a Super Admin can install, start or remove the engine.
  2. Look at This server. It shows the memory, disk and processor your server has, and the model it recommends.
  3. Under Text engine, choose a Model, then Install. This runs in the background and can take a while. Several gigabytes are downloaded.
  4. Under Speech engine, choose a model and Install to switch on transcription for Video Studio.
  5. When it shows Running, choose Test with a short prompt to check it answers.
  6. Under Where AI runs, decide whether to Use only the Weesify engine. When it is on, every AI feature runs on your server, and no request goes to any outside service.

Stop, start and remove

  • Stop and Start control the engine without removing it. The scheduler keeps it running unless you stopped it on purpose.
  • Remove takes the engine and its models off the server. AI features fall back to their built-in versions until it is installed again.

Tips

  • If memory is short, the screen says Not enough memory and what to change with your host.
  • You can also use an outside AI provider. Set it in Console › AI. See Check how your AI features are doing.
