Captions help people watching with the sound off. Video Studio builds them from your transcript, word by word.
Steps
- Open the Captions tool.
- Switch on Show word-by-word captions. If it says Captions need words, transcribe your footage first, or import a subtitle file.
- Choose a Style. Styles include Bold, Clean box, Karaoke, Reveal, Pop and Marker.
- Choose a Position: Top, Middle or Bottom.
- Watch the preview. Captions are always shown in the preview, and are burned into the export when you choose to.
Use your own subtitle file
- Under Subtitle files, choose Import .srt / .vtt.
- Your captions now come from the imported file. Choose Use the transcript instead to go back.
- Choose Download .srt to keep a copy of the captions.
Tips
- Correct names by double-clicking the word in the transcript. Check spellings of Arabic names and terms.
- When you export, Burn in captions controls whether they are part of the video.
