Copyright, DMCA and IP complaints

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Weesify respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains how to report content that you believe infringes your copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property rights, and how users can respond. It is designed to meet the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the EU Digital Services Act and similar notice-and-action laws.

1. Reporting copyright infringement

Send a notice to legal@weesify.com (subject: "Copyright notice") or by post to Weesify, the address shown on your invoice, marked "Copyright agent". Your notice must include:

1.1. your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough by email);

1.2. a description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed;

1.3. the exact link(s) to the material on Weesify;

1.4. your name, address, telephone number and email address;

1.5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;

1.6. a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

Incomplete notices may delay our response.

2. Trade marks and other IP

For trade mark, counterfeit, design, or other IP complaints, email legal@weesify.com with: your contact details, the right you hold (with a registration number and country where applicable), the links concerned, and why you believe the use infringes. We do not remove content simply because it mentions a brand name; fair, descriptive or comparative use is usually allowed.

3. What we do

3.1. We review each valid notice promptly. Where appropriate we remove or disable access to the material, and notify the user who posted it with a copy of the notice (your contact details may be shared with them, as the DMCA allows).

3.2. We may decline notices that are incomplete, abusive, or concern lawful use (for example quotation, criticism, parody or fair use/fair dealing).

4. Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you have permission to use it, send a counter-notice to legal@weesify.com including:

4.1. your physical or electronic signature;

4.2. the material removed and where it appeared;

4.3. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;

4.4. your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which Weesify may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

We forward valid counter-notices to the complainant. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have started court action, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days.

5. Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights, in appropriate circumstances.

6. Misuse

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages. If you are unsure whether something infringes your rights, please get legal advice first.
