Weesify

Custom domains for your website

Put your website on your own domain. Weesify checks ownership, DNS and HTTPS before it goes live there.

Every website already has a Weesify address with HTTPS. You can add your own domain, like www.yourbrand.com.

Steps

  1. Open the website and choose Domains › Connect domain.
  2. Enter your domain. A subdomain like www.yourbrand.com is easiest.
  3. Prove you own it. Add the TXT record shown (name and value) at your DNS provider.
  4. Point it at Weesify. Add the CNAME (or ALIAS/ANAME for a root domain) shown.
  5. Choose Check now. Weesify checks the TXT record, then DNS, then HTTPS. The certificate is issued automatically and usually takes a few minutes, sometimes up to an hour.
  6. When all three are done, the domain shows Live.

Primary domain and aliases

The first domain you add is the primary. Add more domains as aliases: once the primary is live, aliases and your Weesify address send visitors to it, so search engines see one address. Choose Make primary to switch.

Good to know

  • A domain serves either a website or your pages and links, not both.
  • A domain another workspace has added can't be added again. If it's yours, ask Weesify support.
  • Disconnect stops the website on that domain straight away and frees the name.
  • How many domains each website can have depends on your plan.
