Every website already has a Weesify address with HTTPS. You can add your own domain, like www.yourbrand.com.
Steps
- Open the website and choose Domains › Connect domain.
- Enter your domain. A subdomain like www.yourbrand.com is easiest.
- Prove you own it. Add the TXT record shown (name and value) at your DNS provider.
- Point it at Weesify. Add the CNAME (or ALIAS/ANAME for a root domain) shown.
- Choose Check now. Weesify checks the TXT record, then DNS, then HTTPS. The certificate is issued automatically and usually takes a few minutes, sometimes up to an hour.
- When all three are done, the domain shows Live.
Primary domain and aliases
The first domain you add is the primary. Add more domains as aliases: once the primary is live, aliases and your Weesify address send visitors to it, so search engines see one address. Choose Make primary to switch.
Good to know
- A domain serves either a website or your pages and links, not both.
- A domain another workspace has added can't be added again. If it's yours, ask Weesify support.
- Disconnect stops the website on that domain straight away and frees the name.
- How many domains each website can have depends on your plan.
