Start a community

Create a space on your own page where members talk, read announcements and meet each other.

A community is a home for your people: spaces to talk in, announcements and a member directory. It can be free or paid to join. Members sign in with an emailed link, so there are no passwords.

Steps

  1. Open Your OS › Community and choose New community.
  2. Enter a Community name and choose Continue. You start with a General space and an Announcements space.
  3. In Spaces, add topics such as Wins or Questions. For each, choose whether Only the team posts (announcements) and whether Anyone can read it before joining.
  4. In Join page & price, add a one-line description, a Cover image, a Price to join (leave empty for free), Button text, a Welcome message and Guidelines.
  5. Decide whether Members can start posts and whether to show the Member directory.
  6. Choose Open community, then Copy join link and share it, or add it to your bio page with a Product block.

Running it

  • Post from Conversation. Members see a Team badge on your posts. You can Pin to the top or Hide from members.
  • In Members, use Add someone to invite people by email, Make moderator, Send sign-in link or Remove.
  • Members can report posts. Review them under To review: Keep them, or Send to Weesify for review.

Tips

  • Sign-in links work for 7 days, and a device stays signed in for 60.
  • The member directory shows names and bios. Emails are never shown.
  • Close to new members stops new joins; current members keep their access.

Troubleshooting

  • Can't charge to join: set up how you get paid in Store first.
  • A member can't get in: use Send sign-in link and ask them to check spam.
  • Can't delete a space: if a post in it was sent to Weesify, wait until Weesify decides.
