Billing details and tax ID (VAT)

Add your business name, country, address and tax or VAT number to your invoices.

Your billing details appear on the invoices Weesify sends you and on the receipts you send to your buyers. Your country also decides which tax, if any, is added to your plan.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings › Plan & billing › Invoices & details. You can also choose Edit on the Billing details card on the Overview.
  2. Under Billing details, fill in:
    • Business or legal name (optional). If empty, your workspace name is used.
    • Country. Choose yours from the list, or Somewhere else.
    • Address (optional).
    • Tax ID (TIN or VAT number) (optional).
  3. Choose Save details. You see "Billing details saved. New invoices and receipts use them."

How tax works on your plan

  • Weesify picks one tax rate for each invoice, based on the Country in your billing details.
  • Depending on the rate, tax is either already included in the price or added on top. Your invoice shows the tax amount, for example "incl." and the amount.
  • Discount codes come off before tax.

Tips

  • Save your details before a payment you need for your records. New invoices use the details saved at the time; earlier invoices aren't rewritten.
  • Your tax ID can contain letters, numbers, dashes, slashes, dots and spaces, between 3 and 40 characters, for example GB123456789 or 12-3456789.
  • If your own profile has no country yet, saving a billing country fills it in for the workspace owner and for you.
  • Tax on the products you sell to your buyers is set separately in your store, not here.

Troubleshooting

  • "Use letters, numbers and dashes.": your tax ID has a character that isn't allowed, or it's too short. Remove symbols like # or + and try again.
  • My country isn't listed: choose Somewhere else.
  • I can't edit these details: only people allowed to manage billing in the workspace can save them. Ask the workspace owner.
  • An old invoice shows old details: details are written onto each invoice when it's issued, so past invoices keep what was saved then.
