Schedule and publish a post

Give a post a date, a channel and a person, and get a reminder with the copy ready when it is time.

Weesify never says a post went out unless it did. There are two ways a post gets published: automatically through a connected account, or with a reminder to the person who posts it.

Schedule a post

  1. Open the draft in Content › Studio.
  2. Choose the Channel. If you have not added one, see "Add a channel" below.
  3. Choose an Assignee. They get the reminder when it is time to post. Leave it on Nobody (the team is told) if the whole team shares the job.
  4. Under Plan a date, pick the Date, Time and Time zone.
  5. Choose Schedule (approves it).

When a channel is connected

If you have connected the account and switched on Post automatically, the post goes out on its own at the scheduled time. See Connect your social accounts.

When a channel is not connected

At the scheduled time, the assignee gets a reminder in Weesify and by email, with the copy ready to paste.

  1. Open Content › Publishing. Posts that are due appear under Time to post these.
  2. Choose Copy & open to copy the text and open the network.
  3. Post it there. Media travels with the post and is ready to download.
  4. Come back and choose I've posted it. Add the Link to the live post if you like.

If it did not go out, choose Couldn't post it?, add a Reason and choose Mark not posted. The post waits under Failed so you can reschedule it.

Add a channel

  1. In Content › Publishing, choose Add channel.
  2. Pick the Platform, then enter the Account or handle, a Display name and the Profile link.
  3. Choose Save channel.

Tips

  • Overdue, due now and within 24 hours are marked on the post list, so you can see what needs you first.
  • Each network has its own character limit. The editor shows it, and warns you if a post is over.
