When someone shares your page, apps show a title, a description and an image. Search engines use the same details.
Set your SEO details
- Open your page in the editor and go to its settings.
- Fill in the title (up to about 60 characters) and description (up to about 155 characters).
- Upload a sharing image, ideally 1200 × 630 pixels.
- Publish your page.
Tips
- Put your name or brand first in the title, then what you offer.
- Write the description for people, not for search engines. Say what visitors will get.
- Use the same sharing image across your channels so your brand is recognisable.
- A custom domain helps people trust and remember your link.
Check how it looks
Paste your page address into the app you use most and look at the preview. Social apps cache previews, so a new image can take a while to appear. Many apps offer a "debug" or "refresh preview" tool.
Troubleshooting
- The old image still shows: the app has cached it. Use its refresh tool or wait a day.
- My page doesn't appear in search: new pages can take days or weeks to be indexed. Make sure the page is published and not hidden from search in its settings.
