HTML Websites hosts complete websites you or your team wrote: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images and fonts. Weesify keeps your code exactly as it is.
Steps
- Open HTML Websites in the Presence section of the menu and choose New website.
- Name it. The name also suggests its address, which you can change.
- Choose how to start:
- Upload files: one or more pages and their assets.
- Upload a folder: keeps every subfolder as it is.
- Upload a ZIP: a whole website in one archive.
- Paste HTML: a single page.
- Copy a public page: only for a page you own or have permission to copy.
- Blank starter: a clean starter page and stylesheet.
- Read the import report. It shows what was imported, the homepage it found, broken links, and anything that was not imported.
- Choose Go to files to check everything, then publish when you're ready.
What isn't imported
Weesify hosts static websites only. Server code such as PHP, scripts and programs is never stored or run; the report lists each file it left out. Forms that sent email through a server script can use Website forms instead.
Tips
- Keep the original folder structure: links like css/site.css keep working.
- The page named index.html becomes the homepage. You can choose another in the website's settings.
- Large websites import fastest as one ZIP.
