Posting queues and evergreen posts

Set weekly time slots once, add posts to the queue and let evergreen posts come back on their own.

A queue is a set of weekly slots, for example Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 09:00. Add posts and each one takes the next free slot, so you never pick a time by hand.

Make a queue

  1. Open Content › Queues and choose Make your first queue (or New queue).
  2. Enter a Name, for example "Weekday mornings".
  3. Choose a Channel, or leave it on Any channel, and a Time zone.
  4. Under Weekly time slots, choose a Day and a Time, then Add slot. Repeat for each slot.
  5. Choose Save queue.

The queue shows the Next 10 slots. Slots repeat every week at the same local time in the queue's time zone.

Add posts to a queue

  1. Open the queue.
  2. Under the list of drafts and approved posts without a date, choose Add next to a post.
  3. It takes the next free slot. Someone who can approve confirms the schedule.

Evergreen posts

Some posts are worth repeating, such as a reminder about your weekly class.

  1. When you create or edit the queue, switch on Evergreen queue.
  2. Set the Minimum gap (days) and, if you want, Maximum repeats.
  3. Mark a post Make evergreen. After it publishes, it comes back as a new post after the gap you chose.

Every time a post went out stays in its history.

Tips

  • Queued posts still use the same posting steps as any other scheduled post. See Schedule and publish a post.
  • Deleting a queue keeps its posts and their times.
