You don't manage event promo codes in your store. They live with the event's tickets. Discount codes take money off, and access codes unlock hidden and partner tickets. Codes aren't case-sensitive.
Steps
- Open your event and choose Tickets in the event menu.
- Open the Codes tab.
- Choose New discount code or New access code.
- Type a Code, or leave it empty for a random one.
- For a discount code, choose Percent off or Amount off and enter the value.
- Under Only with these tickets, tick the tickets the code applies to. If you tick none, it works on any ticket. For an access code, choose which hidden tickets it Unlocks.
- Set limits if you want:
- Total uses: how many times the code can be used.
- Uses per email: how many times one person can use it.
- Valid on dates: limit the code to certain dates of a repeating event.
- To create a batch of single-use codes, set How many codes to more than one and add an optional Prefix.
- Turn on Valid for all my events if the code should work on all your events, not only this one.
- Choose Save. Your Active codes appear in the list, with how often each has been Used.
Tips
- Create a Hidden or Partner ticket, then send partners an access code. Only people with the code can see and buy it.
- Use Copy all to copy a batch of single-use codes in one go.
- Choose Preview checkout to try the code the way buyers will.
Troubleshooting
- "Code not valid": check the code's total uses, its dates and which tickets it applies to.
- A hidden ticket doesn't appear: make sure the access code Unlocks that ticket, and that the ticket is on sale.
