Every ticket has a QR code and a ticket number. On the day, your team can scan tickets with a phone camera or a handheld reader, look up guests by name and add walk-ins.
Steps
- Open your event and choose Check-in in the event menu.
- Set up a station for each door, desk or session room. Choose New station, give it a name such as Main door, then Save. Several phones can scan for the same station.
- On each phone, open Check-in and answer Where are you scanning? by choosing a station.
- On the Scan tab, choose Start camera and point it at the guest's QR code. Use Torch in a dark room.
- If a camera isn't available, type the ticket number (for example, WSY-7KQ2-M9XD) into Ticket number or code and choose Check. A handheld reader works too.
- Choose Check in or Check out to set the direction of the scan.
- To find someone without a ticket on them, use Find an attendee and search by name, email, company, ticket or order number.
- For people without a ticket, choose Register a walk-in. For paid tickets, the buyer scans a payment code with their phone. Tickets are issued once payment is confirmed.
Tips
- Turn on Offer badge printing after each check-in to print badges at the desk.
- Live attendance shows who is Inside now, who is Not arrived and Arrivals, last hour.
- If the connection drops, scanning continues Offline. Those scans are checked when the device syncs.
- Choose Sign out devices to remove every phone from a station when the event ends.
Troubleshooting
- "Camera access was blocked": allow the camera in your browser's site settings, or type the ticket number.
- "This device isn't joined to the station yet": choose the station again, or ask a check-in lead to add one.
- Walk-ins are greyed out: walk-ins and on-site sales need the Run check-in permission.
