When you choose a paid plan, you also choose how long you pay for at once. Monthly keeps things flexible, Yearly costs less overall, and some plans offer longer prepaid terms at an introductory price for new customers.
Steps
- Go to Settings › Plan & billing › Plans.
- Use the Monthly / Yearly switch above the plan cards. When a plan has a yearly price, the saving is shown on the Yearly button.
- If more than one currency is offered, pick yours from the currency menu next to the switch.
- Choose the button on the plan you want, for example Upgrade to Pro. This opens Step 2: How long.
- Under Billing term, pick one of:
- Monthly: pay month to month, cancel any time.
- Yearly (12 months): one payment for the year.
- A longer term (for example 24 or 36 months) when it is offered. These are marked Prepay and save, and the cheapest is marked Best value.
- Choose Continue through Seats to Review & pay. The summary shows the Term, for example "24 months, paid upfront".
- For a prepaid term, tick the box confirming you understand you pay for the full term today and that the plan renews automatically at the regular price unless you turn off auto-renew. Then choose Continue to payment.
How introductory prices work
- Introductory prices are for new customers only. If your workspace or account has already had a paid plan or an introductory term, you see a note saying so and pay the regular price.
- The whole term is paid upfront. The term card shows the monthly equivalent, the amount billed today, and what the price becomes afterwards.
- When the term ends, your plan renews automatically at the regular price, billed yearly, unless you switch to monthly. See Auto-renew and renewal reminders.
- Extra seats are always billed at the regular seat price, even during an introductory term.
Tips
- Already on a plan? The card for your current plan offers Switch to yearly or Switch to monthly.
- Upgrades start today and you pay the difference for the rest of the period. Downgrades take effect when your paid period ends.
- An approved non-profit, education or open-source discount isn't combined with an introductory price: the cheaper of the two applies.
Troubleshooting
- I don't see multi-year terms: they are only shown when they are on offer. Yearly is always available.
- The plan says "Not available in" my currency: switch to another currency in the menu next to Monthly / Yearly.
- No introductory price for me: your workspace or account has already used one, or already had a paid plan.
