Create and publish an event

Set up a quick event or use the guided set-up, then publish it and share the page.

Weesify Events gives every event its own page, tickets, check-in and messages. You can create a simple event in about a minute or work through the full guided set-up. Either way, you can change everything later.

Steps

  1. Open Events in your workspace and choose New event.
  2. Pick how to start:
    • Quick event: name, time, place, and free or paid. You can publish it straight away.
    • Guided set-up: 8 steps covering dates and series, tickets, registration rules, the page and reminders, with a live preview.
    • From a template: reuse a set-up you saved, or one of Weesify's.
    • Duplicate an event: copy an earlier event and choose What to copy.
  3. For a Quick event, enter the Event name, Date, Starts, Ends and Time zone. Under Format, choose In person (add the Address), Online (choose a Platform and paste the Join link) or Hybrid.
  4. Under Price, choose Free or Paid. For paid events, set the Currency and Price. Under Places, enter a number or leave it Unlimited.
  5. Choose Add a cover to upload an image.
  6. Turn on Publish and open registration now to go live straight away, or leave it off to save a draft. Then choose Create & publish or Create draft.
  7. In the Guided set-up, work through Basics, Date & time, Location, Registration, Tickets, Experience, Communication and Publish. Use Save draft at any point, and Continue to move on.
  8. When the event is created, the Command centre opens. Use Share & promote to copy share links and get your first registrations.

Tips

  • Start with Quick event if you're in a hurry, then choose Use the full set-up when you want more control.
  • Your events are grouped under Upcoming, Drafts, Past, Cancelled and Archived on the Events screen.
  • Paid tickets need a paid plan. Free tickets work on every plan.

Troubleshooting

  • "You've reached your plan's events": you've used your plan's event allowance. Archive an old event or upgrade your plan.
  • Visitors can't open the page: a draft isn't public. Publish the event from its Command centre first.
