Creator and seller terms
These creator and seller terms ("Seller Terms") apply when you use Weesify to sell or take payment for anything, including digital products, physical products, services, courses, memberships, community access, bookings, donations and event tickets. They add to our Terms of service. If the two conflict on a selling matter, these Seller Terms apply.
1. You are the seller
1.1. When a buyer pays you through Weesify, the contract of sale is between you and the buyer. You are the seller and, for payments made directly to your connected payment account, the merchant of record. Weesify provides the software and is not a party to the sale.
1.2. Where you use the Weesify wallet (where funds are collected and held for you before payout), Weesify or its payment partner collects payment as your limited agent. A buyer's payment to the wallet counts as payment to you.
1.3. You set your prices, product descriptions, delivery terms and your own refund policy, and you must show them clearly before purchase.
1.4. Your business name, address and contact details are shown on receipts. Keep them accurate.
2. Payment providers
2.1. Payments are processed by licensed providers such as Stripe, Paystack, Flutterwave and PayPal. To get paid you must connect an account with one of them and accept their terms, including identity verification ("KYC").
2.2. The provider may refuse, delay or reverse payments, or hold funds, under its own rules. We are not responsible for a provider's decisions, but we will help where we can.
3. Weesify fees
3.1. Weesify charges a platform fee on each sale, which depends on your plan. At the date of these terms the default rates are:
| Plan | Weesify fee per sale | Monthly fee cap |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 5% | Once your fees in a month reach the price of the Pro plan in that currency, no further Weesify fees are charged that month |
| Pro | 2% | Once your fees in a month reach the price of the Business plan in that currency, no further Weesify fees are charged that month |
| Business | 0% | Not applicable |
3.2. Current rates and caps are always shown on our Pricing page and in your workspace, and those figures apply. If you joined with a locked founder's rate, that rate applies while your plan stays active.
3.3. Payment providers charge their own processing fees in addition to Weesify's fee. These are deducted by the provider.
3.4. The Weesify fee is calculated on the order total excluding added tax and is collected at the time of sale (for example as an application fee) or deducted from your balance. Fees on refunded orders are handled as described in section 6.
3.5. Instant payouts and some optional services have their own fees, shown before you confirm.
3.6. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before increasing fees.
4. Payouts
4.1. Payouts are made by your payment provider to your bank or payout account on its schedule. Where possible we set your account to next-day payouts by default.
4.2. You may be able to sell before your payout account is fully verified, but money will only be paid out once verification is complete.
4.3. We, or your provider, may delay or hold payouts where there is a high risk of refunds or chargebacks, suspected fraud, a breach of these terms, or where the law requires.
4.4. You are responsible for giving correct payout details. We cannot recover money sent to incorrect details you provided.
5. Refunds
5.1. You are responsible for refunds to your buyers. You must honour your published refund policy and the consumer rights that buyers have by law, which in many countries include a right to cancel within 14 days for some purchases.
5.2. For digital content, you may ask buyers to agree that delivery starts immediately and that they lose the right to cancel, where the law allows.
5.3. Buyers can request refunds through Weesify. You will be asked to approve or decline. If a request is not answered in time, or where we reasonably believe a refund is due (for example the product was never delivered, or the event was cancelled), we may issue the refund on your behalf from your balance or connected account.
5.4. When an order is refunded, any affiliate commission for that order is reversed.
6. Chargebacks and disputes
6.1. A chargeback is a buyer disputing a payment with their bank. You are responsible for chargebacks on your sales, including the provider's dispute fees.
6.2. Respond to disputes promptly with evidence (proof of delivery, communications, terms accepted). We will pass on evidence requests from the provider.
6.3. If a chargeback succeeds, the amount and fees are deducted from your balance or connected account. If there is not enough, you must repay it. Weesify fees are not returned on refunded or disputed orders unless the law requires.
6.4. High chargeback or refund rates can lead to reserves, payout delays or suspension of selling.
7. Taxes
7.1. You are responsible for working out, collecting, reporting and paying all taxes on your sales (for example VAT, GST, sales tax, income tax and withholding), and for issuing any tax invoices the law requires. Weesify provides tools such as tax settings, invoice numbers and earnings statements, but these are not tax advice.
7.2. Where the law makes Weesify or a payment provider responsible for collecting tax or reporting your earnings (for example under marketplace rules, DAC7 or 1099-K), we or the provider will do so, and you must provide the information needed.
8. What you may sell
8.1. You may only sell lawful products and services that you have the right to sell and that comply with our Acceptable use policy and your payment provider's rules.
8.2. Product descriptions must be accurate. Do not use fake scarcity, fake reviews, or hidden charges.
8.3. Subscriptions and memberships you sell must clearly show the price, billing period and how to cancel, and you must make cancelling easy.
9. Courses, memberships and communities
9.1. Deliver the content you describe. If you remove a course or close a community that buyers paid for, offer a fair refund or alternative.
9.2. Do not promise outcomes (such as income or health results) you cannot back up.
9.3. Students and members get access under the licence you choose; by default, personal, non-transferable use.
10. Events and tickets
10.1. You are the event organiser. You are responsible for the event taking place as described, venue safety, permits, licences, insurance, accessibility information, age restrictions and following local law.
10.2. Show the date, time, location (or online link), what the ticket includes and your refund policy before purchase.
10.3. If you cancel an event, you must refund ticket holders in full. If you materially change it (date, venue, headliner), you must offer a refund to anyone who cannot attend.
10.4. Handle attendee data only for running the event and as your privacy notice says.
11. Your buyers' data
You are the controller of your buyers' personal data. Our Data processing addendum applies. Use buyers' details only for the purposes they expect, and only send marketing to those who agreed.
12. Affiliates
If you run an affiliate programme, you set the commission and terms, approve affiliates, and are responsible for paying commissions you owe. Our Affiliate programme terms also apply.
13. Suspension of selling
We may pause your ability to sell or hold payouts if we reasonably believe you are breaking these terms, the law or a provider's rules, or if your sales put buyers at risk. We will explain why where we lawfully can, and you can appeal by emailing support@weesify.com.
