Introductory prices and renewals

What an introductory price covers and what you pay when the term renews.

2 min read · Updated 16 October 2026

Some plans have a lower introductory price for your first term. This article explains what that means so there are no surprises at renewal.

How it works

  1. When you choose a plan, the price shows the first term, for example a price then a different price / period. The second figure is what renews.
  2. Prepaying several months, shown as months, paid upfront, gives the lowest price we offer.
  3. When the first term ends, your plan renews at the regular price, Billed monthly or Billed yearly, unless you change or cancel it before the renewal date.

Where to check your renewal

  1. Open Settings › Plan & billing.
  2. The Overview shows Renews with a date, or Switches to another plan on a date if you've scheduled a change.
  3. Next payment shows the amount and date.

Changing before renewal

  • To move to a cheaper plan at renewal, choose Change plan. You'll see Move to … when your current period ends? Confirm, and nothing changes until then.
  • To stop renewing, choose Cancel or pause. You keep your plan until the end of the period, then move to Free. Nothing is deleted.

Tips

  • We email a reminder before a yearly or multi-year plan renews.
  • Discount codes can apply to the first term only or for longer. The duration is shown next to the code when you apply it.

Troubleshooting

  • I was charged the regular price: check the date. Introductory terms end on the date shown when you subscribed. If you believe the charge is wrong, contact support with the invoice number from Invoices.
